FOLSOM, CA – (January 25, 2006) – Eyefinitysm, the optical industry’s most widely used Internet portal, and Optifacts Inc., the leading software provider for wholesale optical labs, have announced the completion of an interface that will improve the way electronic lab orders from Eyefinity are managed. With this fully integrated interface, traditional order fulfillment is now completely automated at the lab, including order capture, data entry, order status notifications and order closing. Electronic lab orders submitted through Eyefinity are now sent directly into the lab’s Optifacts lab management software system via the Internet, eliminating the need to manually re-enter the information into the labs’ Optifacts Software®. Additionally, Optifacts sends order status information back to Eyefinity, further automating communication channels and expediting invoice payment processing. This new interface is now available to all Optifacts customers.
“Eyefinity and Optifacts have implemented this interface because we both share a common interest in enhancing the way labs manage their businesses,” says Steve Baker, vice president of technology for Eyefinity. “It’s one more example of how we use leading-edge technology to make a big difference for the industry.” Steve Morris, president of Optifacts, adds, “Fully electronic order processing is a service we have been proud to offer our lab customers for years, and we are very pleased that orders from the Eyefinity portal can now be managed and processed more accurately and efficiently.”
